Take the body’s primal movements, up the intensity – and mix it all together with a healthy dose of nail-biting competition. Grid Games is designed to push you to your limits, whatever those limits are. It sounds tough (because it is) but when you find your enough, you might be surprised by your own endurance limits and what your body is actually capable of achieving.
The first part of the competition will go down at all Virgin Active clubs in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, South Africa and Italy, starting in March 2019.
You’ll be required to perform 8 exercises in 4 minutes in a 2m x 2m Grid. Accumulate as many reps (calories in rowing) within 20 seconds, with only a 10 second rest in between exercises.
To get your name on the leader board, move, push, pull, lunge, bend, twist, and squat with all you’ve got.
The winners from each country will battle it out in the global finals in June 2019, competing against finalists from Virgin Active clubs in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, South Africa and Italy.
*South Africa will have 3 x regional finals that precede the global final.
The competition is open to all Virgin Active members over the age of 18, regardless of fitness level.
Male and female winners:
First place will each receive a year’s free membership.
Second place will each receive a 6-month free membership.
Virgin Active Grid Games kicks off in-club in March 2019.
If you win the Grid Games nationally, you’ll qualify to represent your country at the Grid Games Global Finals in Cape Town, South Africa in June 2019.
Travel will be arranged and paid for by Virgin Active.
